2005 Hochkrich Riesling

At first glance one would assume that this is a German wine.  The whole approach to the packaging is Germanic, even to the point of having symbolic eagles either side of the image of a small cathedral.  Is this the renaissance of ‘Wolf Blass'?! 

The wine is made in the biodynamic tradition and certified Demeter.  Bright straw colour with water like hue.  Floral top notes followed by rose petal notes over a lime and orange rind background.  The palate is mouthfilling with flavours of orange, lime and tropical fruit.  Soft acid finish.  Aftertaste of orange rind, lime and tropical fruit.
