Forest Hill Vineyard was established in 1965, making it the oldest cool climate vineyard in Western Australia. The Cabernet is produced from 40 year old, dry grown vines.
Bright crimson colour with crimson mauve
hue. Medium body. The nose displays impressive varietal character with top note of
blackcurrant followed by cassis. The palate structure is on the tight side. Blackcurrant
and spice are followed by an earthy truffle back palate. Fine, dry, slightly chalky tannins. Aftertaste of cedar,
blackcurrant, old leather and truffle.
