2005 David Hook The Gorge Barbera

Medium body crimson colour with crimson hue. Top note of spice, followed by a hint of clove, cherry and earth, with confectionary end note. Full bodied palate with flavours of earth, spice and leather over a background of black pepper and plum. Old leather on the back palate. Soft tannins. An old fashioned red, but very drinkable.
