A top example of Rutherglen Merlot! Opaque black purple colour with purple hue, showing great saturation. The nose provides an excellent sniff of ripe mulberries, followed by spice and violets. The palate is mouthfilling, with loads of ripe mulberry and spice flavours. Fine grained tannins. The spiciness continues to grow on the back palate with violet infusions emerging. Excellent balance. Long aftertaste of spice, mulberry and cedar.
