First produced by Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite) to commemorate 10 years in Chile. A small parcel of the best fruit was selected and matured entirely in French oak casks. Le Dix is only produced in the best years, from 50 year old Cabernet Sauvignon vines grown in the Los Frailes Block. Annual production is limited to between 2000 – 3000 dozen.

A superb wine showing great refinement of flavour.

Opaque black crimson colour with deep crimson purple hue. Superb nose – Classic Bordeaux classed growth (for what you would pay $700 a bottle for). Blackcurrant, cedar, cassis and violets finishing with spice and truffle – delivering a perfumed sniff. The palate does not disappoint – pure class – mouthfilling flavours of cassis, blackcurrant, spice, liquorice allsorts and cedar displaying exceptional length and depth. Fine grained tannins, perfect balance with very long aftertaste.
