2004 The Willows Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon

This wine is at its peak. Very deep crimson colour with deep crimson hue. Lifted nose of blackcurrant and cedar, followed by a hint of cigar box and just a hint of tea leaf. Generally we do not favour green elements in a Cabernet, but occasionally a tiny smack over a ripe fruit background can be acceptable. The palate delivers refined Cabernet flavours together with a sense of elegance. Fine grained tannins, perfectly balanced. Long aftertaste of dark chocolate.
