2004 Summerfield Reserve Shiraz

Totally opaque black core with a dark brick red black tinged hue. Intensely perfumed nose with aromas of liquorice, dark plums and dark chocolate followed by spicy vanillin oak, faint earth and hints of spearmint. Full bodied the palate displays superb richness and a satiny like mouthfeel. Succulent, liquorice, dark plum and blackberry flavours flood the palate over some choc mint infusions, vanillin cedar and spicy pepper. Excellent concentration and length. Velvet smooth tannins caress the palate with a long aftertaste of liquorice, dark plums, blackberry, choc mint, earth and spice.
