2004 Schild Estate Wines Cabernet Sauvignon
Very deep brick red colour with brick red crimson hue. Ripe Cabernet top notes followed by blackcurrant, cedar and plum with a touch of cod liver oil as an end note. Blackcurrant palate flavours with a light hint of cod liver – relatively short. Fine grained tannins. Blackcurrant aftertaste. The wine lacks length and depth.

The modern Australian Wine Industry can be described as a tapestry of Western Culture, peppered with Eastern influences. The early European Migrants arrived in The Schild story dates back to 1866 when the family immigrated from Today the Schild’s holdings extend to over 380 acres, with production of a wide variety of red and white wine.
Tasting Note: Opaque black crimson colour with black crimson hue. Perfumed nose, displaying outstanding lifted Cabernet notes of violets, followed by blackcurrant, spice and cassis. Generous palate flavour profile with ripe blackcurrants followed by a hint of tobacco and spice. Fine grained tannins, perfect balance. Very long aftertaste of spice and blackcurrant.
