2004 Robert Johnson Vineyards Merlot

Almost opaque, deep crimson colour with deep crimson hue. There is a faint touch of tea leaf on the nose, followed by cedar, blackcurrant and spice. Excellent palate weight, again nuances of tea leaf which surprisingly add to the complexity of this wine rather than detract from it. Very fine, dryish, velvet smooth tannins. Long aftertaste of mulberry, tea leaf and cassis.
