2004 Punters Corner Shiraz

Almost opaque black crimson colour with deep crimson hue. Top note of vanilla, followed by liquorice allsorts spice and blackberry, delivering an impressive Shiraz sniff. The palate lets the wine down, with a simple flavour profile of stewed fruit and plum, followed by a hint of spice and black pepper. Fine dry chalky tannins, which are too pronounced to carry the fruit. Dry stewed fruit aftertaste.
