Pretty Sally is located off the old Hume Highway near Kilmore in Central Victoria. The Shiraz fruit was cropped at 2.5 tonnes per acre and matured in new French and American Oak. Opaque black purple crimson colour with deep purple, mauve hue. Aroma of vanilla, spice, cedar and blackberry. The palate structure and flavour profile is much leaner than the wines from Heathcote (just a bit to the North). Very peppery palate, with a sense of elegance. Flavours of liquorice allsorts, blackberry (slightly unripe), black cherry and spice. Fine grained tannins. The acidity is a tad high. Aftertaste of black pepper and dark cherry.
Cellar 4-5 years (2010-2011)
Alc/Vol: 14.0%
