Suitably marketed as 'The Maritime Malt’, single cask / cask strength Pulteney's are normally the realm of independents and released exclusively for the UK and Europe, so this selection from one of our favourite coastal distilleries is a bit of a novelty. Stored in the sea-sprayed warehouses in Wick, slowly maturing in first-fill American oak (which gives the best feel for the distillate) it promises notes of sweet citrus, honey, toffee and white chocolate with a delicately salty finish. 240 bottles are on offer from the French retailer, La Maison du Whisky. 53.6% Alc./Vol. Non-chill filtered.
