2004 Lamonts Quartet

The Quartet is composed of a blend of Verdelho, Chardonnay, Semillon and Chenin Blanc. Bright straw colour with pale straw hue. The nose delivers slightly broad aromatics with a hint of lemon, tropical fruit and peach. The palate confirms the nose, and displays some broad characteristics, not unlike that found in the White Burgundy styles of Western Australia from the late 1970’s and early 1980’s. Flavours of citrus and tropical fruit emerge, followed by a hint of ripe apple. Relatively short flavour profile with some coarseness evident on the back palate. Lemon, tropical fruit aftertaste.
