2004 Katnook Estate Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon

A Cabernet that is drinking beautifully and very much to the style that Katnook consistently produces.

Very deep, almost opaque black crimson colour. There is a hint of leather on the nose, along with truffle, spice, violets, cedar and blackcurrant, followed by a confectionary end note. The nose displays impressive complexity which is carried through to the palate. Good palate weight. Layers of confectionary, cedar and cassis are overlaid with the flavours of ripe plum, mulberry and vanilla. Velvet tannin structure. Excellent balance with very long aftertaste.
