2004 Cobaw Ridge Shiraz

A dash of Viognier has been added to this wine. Semi translucent crimson colour with crimson hue, quite light for a Shiraz, however the colour is holding up. The nose comes as a surprise – it is much fresher than expected given the bottle age of the wine. Lifted aromas of new leather, spice and plum with a hint of clove. The palate flavours are light with subtle leather, stewed fruit and new leather. Spicy back palate. Fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of new leather and spice. A light earthy red.
