2004 Bacchanalia Shiraz

The fill level of this wine is noticeably lower than one would normally expect. Dark crimson red mauve colour with mauve brick red hue. Aromas of stewed plum, liquorice allsorts and confectionary. Medium weight palate with flavours of stewed fruits and liquorice allsorts followed by some leather end notes. Very soft tannins with moderate aftertaste of stewed plum and confectionary. The wine is beginning to dry out and needs to be drunk sooner rather than later.
