2003 Yarra Valley Hills Chardonnay
This wine incorporates components which have been barrel fermented together with a portion which has been fermented in stainless steel. Bright straw colour. Aroma of melon, white peach, biscuit and yeast lees, followed by a hint of tropical fruit. On the palate, flavours of grapefruit over peach. Subtle creamy texture. Clean acid finish. Grapefruit peach tropical fruit aftertaste.

A Chardonnay that should be delivering a good deal more complexity than this one delivers. Bright straw colour. Aroma of yeast lees, melon, cashew and fig. Simple palate flavour of yeast lees and cashew. Soft acid finish. Melon aftertaste.
