2003 Rivergate Shiraz

The fruit for this wine was grown at Kerr’s Rivergate Vineyard located in the Campaspe River Valley, north of Axedale in Central Victoria. Opaque black crimson colour with black crimson hue. Top note of confectionary and vanilla, followed by violet and spice over a cedar and blackberry end note. There is a sense of elegance on the palate, with flavours of black pepper, vanilla and confectionary emerging. Fine dry tannins. Excellent balance. Aftertaste of cedar, vanilla and blackberry.
