2003 Peter Lehmann Wigan Riesling
Bright straw colour with pale straw hue and green tinge. Superb developed nose with aromas of honey, toast and 'kerosine' over a lemon and lime background, showing excellent developed characteristics. The palate has excellent weight and mouthfeel. Flavours of 'kero', honey, toast and lime and overlaid with a lemon crisp acid backbone. Aftertaste of 'kero', honey, lemon and toast.

It is, quite frankly, great to see Andrew Wigan, long-term chief winemaker at Peter Lehmann and godfather of all the great rieslings, being recognised. Gleaming green-gold, this wine is stacked to the rafters with luscious lime juice aromas and flavours, augmented by touches of honey on the mid-palate; has tremendous length.
