2003 Jansz Late Disgorged Vintage Brut
A blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir that has been aged on yeast lees for 7 years which has imparted additional richness and creaminess to the cuvee. Superb white creamy mousse showing excellent hold. Very fine bead showing good persistence. Pale gold base wine colour. Excellent nose showing strong yeast autolysis characters, baked bread and toast followed by some brioche end notes. The palate possesses a very creamy texture with rich mouthfilling flavours of yeast lees and baked bread followed by some cashew and toasty characters. Clean crisp dry finish with long aftertaste of cashew, yeast lees and toast.
Drink over the next 2-3 years (2011-2014).
