This wine was produced from 40 year old vines and has spent 18 months in new and old French and American oak. Medium body, crimson brick red colour with brick red hue. Aroma of stewed fruit, plum and spice, followed by a hint of leather. There is a hint of volatility which reappears on the palate. Flavours of plum and stewed fruit appear. Dry, chalky tannins. Coffee and stewed fruit aftertaste.
