Produced from the highly tannic Tannat grape. Totally opaque black purple colour with black purple hue. Aroma of blackberry, plum, black cherry and mocha. The palate has a strong black cherry liquorice character which is over ridden by very dry, chalky tannins which totally swamp the fruit and last well into the aftertaste.
