Very deep black crimson colour with deep crimson hue. Restrained top notes of violet followed by a hint of dark cherry. The fruit on the palate is subdued. There is no power wave evident. The tannins are tight and dry. Flavours of stewed plum and stewed cherry emerge with violet infusions in the background. The flavour profile should build as the tannins soften.
