2003 Bristol Classic Distilleria De Sancti Spiritus 9 Year Old Cuban Rum (700ml)

Following the footsteps of the best independent whisky bottlers, John Barrett of Bristol Classic lovingly seeks out rare rums of distinction produced by individual estates. This Cuban edition from the Sancti Spiritus distillery based in the city of the same name is a prime example. Made from molasses and column distilled, Barrett shipped to the UK for maturation on the mainland before bottling it with minimal filtration.

A prize find for rum enthusiasts, information is scant regarding the Sancti Spiritus Distillery (aka Paraíso). Based in central Cuba, it's rumoured to have supplied Havana Club for a period. Very limited stocks. 43% Alc./Vol.
