An outstanding Chardonnay with very clean “White Burgundy” influences.Bright, deep straw colour with straw hue. Aroma of biscuit, yeast lees, and hazelnut, with only a trace of white peach. A superbly refined sniff! The palate is mouth filling and sophisticated in its flavour profile. Layers of cedar, cashew, hazelnut and fig overlap the yeast lees back palate with no sign of tropical fruit or butterscotch evident. Excellent length and depth with good acid balance, and very long aftertaste of honeycomb and biscuit.
Cellar 3-4 years (2007-2008).
