An excellent young Shiraz from the Tin Shed ‘hippies’. The wine has been up spiced with a hint of Grenache, Mouvedre and Cabernet. Opaque black purple colour with purple hue. The nose has a distinctive top note of blackberry and raspberry followed by end notes of dark cherry and blood plum. The palate has very good weight with flavours of cherry, dark chocolate and spice evident followed by a background of inky iodine, black pepper and liquorice. Excellent length and balance followed by a very long black pepper aftertaste.
