An outstanding example of Gamay that could easily be mistaken for Pinot Noir – in fact it has been said that in great yeast, the top Beaujolais can develop strong Pinot character with time. Bright crimson colour with crimson hue. Excellent lifted nose of raspberry, cherry, spice and liquorice. The palate is full bodied, with flavours of spice, liquorice, raspberry and cherries evident. The wine displays great power with perfect balance. Velvet smooth tannins followed by very long aftertaste of cherry, stewed fruit, raspberry and liquorice.
