2002 Saltram Mamre Brook Cabernet Sauvignon

This wine was matured in a combination of French & Amercian oak for 18 months before bottling. A superb red from Nigel Dolan.
Totally opaque black purple colour, with strong cling to the glass wall leaving a paint like purple film. Lifted nose of vanilla, spice, violets and blackcurrant showing a delightful perfumed lift. The palate flavours are generous. Flavours of blackcurrant, mulberry, violet infusions, chocolate and confectionary abound. Fine, dry persistent tannins followed by a very long spice and blackcurrant aftertaste. Winner of 1 Trophy & 2 gold medals. Limited Stocks.
