The Kerner is a German varietal which has been crossed between Riesling and Trollinger.
A most interesting wine. Brilliant straw colour with pale straw hue. The nose is very lifted, and reminiscent of German Spatlese wines. Delightful aroma of lime, orange, tropical fruit, mango and mandarin. There is a touch of residual sweetness on the palate, with flavours of lime, mandarin, apricot and citrus. Clean acid finish. Aftertaste of mandarin, apricot and citrus.
