2002 Penfolds Coonawarra Bin 128 Shiraz

One of the best Bin 128 to emerge in recent years with substantial palate weight and flavours coupled with tannin balance. This wine was matured for twelve months in new (21%) and older French oak hogsheads.Opaque black crimson colour. Lifted nose of blackberry and spice followed by violet and liquorice. The nose is much more intense than that of previous vintages. Full bodied with excellent tannin balance. Flavours of spice, plum and blackberry emerge over cedar, liquorice and black pepper. Fine grained, dry tannins with very long liquorice, black pepper, spice aftertaste. Stocks are Limited.
