Very deep crimson colour with deep crimson hue. Aroma of spice, vanilla and plum pudding, followed by a hint of violets. The palate is a touch tighter than expected, yet still retains a ‘joosy’ quality. Flavours of plum and stewed fruit emerge, followed by vanilla and white pepper. Fine grained, chalky tannins. Aftertaste of white pepper, plum and spice.
