2002 Oddfellows Shiraz Cabernet

Another very impressive wine from the Oddfellows, made from a blend of 70% Shiraz and 30% Cabernet. Very deep crimson colour with deep crimson hue. Perfumed nose of violets, spice, blackberry and blackcurrant. The palate has impressive weight, delivering a ‘joosy’ quality that is more often associated with McLaren Vale. The tannins are soft, making the wine very approachable. Flavours of black pepper, blackcurrant and spice emerge over a white pepper back palate. Aftertaste of plum, spice, blackcurrant and liquorice allsorts with white pepper persisting.
