2002 Oakridge Pinot Noir

Translucent mauve crimson colour with mauve hue. The nose displays aroma of raspberry followed by a touch of game, earth, spice and cherry. The palate reveals moderate length with cherry spice flavours evident. Soft tannins, almost velvet smooth. Aftertaste of cherry and spice. A lighter commercial style of Pinot.

Retasted:
Crimson brick red colour with crimson hue. The nose is impressive, displaying lifted cherry spice aroma, perfumed, with just a hint of violet. On the palate, the cherry, spice flavours continue but lack depth and power. Some earthy flavour characteristics appear. Fine, drying tannins which continue into the aftertaste, which reveals cherry and spice characteristics.
