2002 Maxwell Four Roads Shiraz Grenache Viognier

An outstanding example that is composed of 81% Shiraz, 14% Grenache and 5% Viognier. Very deep crimson colour with deep crimson hue. The nose is lifted, showing excellent aromatic qualities of the Grenache and Viognier grape varieties. The palate is impressive, liquorice, spice and plum flavours are evident followed by end flavours of black pepper and liquorice allsorts. Fine, chalky but balanced tannins. Long aftertaste of spice, liquorice and mocha.
