The Election Shiraz was made from mature, low yielding vines. Opaque black crimson colour with black crimson hue. Aroma of spice, vanilla, blackberry and super ripe plum, showing an appealing sniff. The palate has good weight, with flavours of plum, spice and vanilla, followed by a touch of smoky oak in the background. Fine, dry, slightly chalky tannins with spice and liquorice appearing on the back palate. Aftertaste of stewed plum and liquorice, with the chalky textural sensation persisting.
