2002 Knappstein Cabernet Merlot

A well made wine, but without the ‘wow factor!’ Bright crimson colour, with crimson hue. Medium body. Aroma of blackcurrant, cedar and spice, followed by endnotes of liquorice and truffle. On the palate, there are some tea leaf characteristics emerging. Fine, dry chalky tannins. Aftertaste of tea leaf and cedar.
