Translucent mauve crimson colour with mauve crimson hue. Medium body. The nose displays good varietal character with notes of cherry and spice emerging followed by a hint of game. The palate has moderate power. The tannins are quite dry – too dry for a Pinot, but will soften with time. Flavours of cherry, plum and spice emerge.
