2002 Jim Barry Shiraz Cabernet Sauvignon

Another great bargain to emerge from the near perfect 2002 South Australian vintage.This is a generous red. Very deep – verging on being opaque, crimson colour with deep crimson hue. Aroma of dark chocolate, plum, spice and vanilla, showing dominant Cabernet characters. The palate displays ripe Cabernet flavours, followed by blackcurrant, spice and toasted oak with black pepper and liquorice back palate flavours. Fine grained, balanced tannins, followed by an aftertaste of mint, mocha and smoky oak. A fantastic everyday drinking red.
