2002 Hunter Laing & Co. Old Malt Cask Single Cask Pulteney 19 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

A lovely coastal style, often with suggestions of salt and wax. This edition is described by the Laings as "Clean and citrusy on the nose with honey sweetness, herbal notes and white pepper on the finish." The age statement and higher than usual ABV makes it tempting indeed! 175 bottles were drawn from a Bourbon barrel in July 2022. 50% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered.

Stuart Laing, son of famous independent bottler, Douglas F. Laing established Hunter Laing & Co. after nearly 50 years in the industry, breaking away from his brother Fred who remains the owner of the Douglas Laing Company. Hunter Laing are best known for their Old Malt Cask, Douglas of Drumlanrig and Old and Rare series, all of which are sourced from single casks from distilleries around Scotland.
