2002 Henry's Drive Shiraz

A big Henry’s Drive and very much as expected but slightly richer and bigger than last year. These wines could easily be described as a three course meal with cigar included. Totally opaque black crimson colour. Pronounced nose of stewed plum, vanilla, liquorice and spice followed by a hint of marzipan as an end note. Mouthfilling palate – everything that the nose implies, the palate delivers. Perfect tannin structure. Very spicy plum liquorice, toasted oak and mocca flavours which linger long into the aftertaste. A vinous giant that is surpassed by only the Reserve wine.
