The wine opens very well. Opaque black purple colour with deep black purple hue. Perfumed nose, with notes of violets, spice and blackcurrant, followed by a chocolate end note. The palate structure is very tight. The palate is dry, dominated by very dry, chalky tannins. Moderate palate length. The palate is quite short, with blackcurrant and spice flavours emerging, followed by a touch of tea leaf.
