Wine maker Russell Bourne has produced a dense Durif, that still manages to retain balance without excessive tannin structure. Opaque purple colour, with purple mauve hue. Perfumed nose of vanilla, spice, cherry and liquorice. The palate is mouth filling with a concentrate of black cherry, ripe plum, liquorice and vanilla flavours. Fine grained tannins, showing beautiful balance to the fruit, with aftertaste of black cherry and plum. The wine needs time to express it’s full potential, particularly in it’s bulky layer of palate complexity.
