Balthazar was a Babylonian King who incurred Gods wrath by drinking of wine out of gold & silver holy chalices. While he and his wives feasted and drank, the Persian armies invaded and bought his rule to an abrupt end - a good reason to keep drinking wine from a glass! Winemaker Anita Bowen has produced an excellent Shiraz. Totally opaque black crimson colour with deep crimson hue. Aroma of violets, creating a superb perfumed lift, followed by vanilla, liquorice, black pepper and blackberry. Mouthfilling palate flavours, with excellent length and depth. Flavours of liquorice, black pepper, blackberry and spice are in abundance. Perfect balance. Very long aftertaste of liquorice, vanilla and cedar.
