A generous Rutherglen red, but without the force that the recent release of Bullers Calliope Shiraz delivers. Opaque black purple mauve colour. Aroma of dark chocolate, followed by a hint of spice, tar, cloves, blackberry and liquorice. The palate has good weight with flavours of spice and vanilla. Fine, dry, slightly chalky tannins, with a hint of inkiness emerging. Aftertaste of vanilla and confectionary.
