Brilliant pale gold colour with green hue. The nose is filled with the aroma of ripe melons, figs, tropical fruit, peaches and vanilla. The sort of nose that makes inexpensive Chardonnay very quaffable. The palate reflects the ripe fruit flavours of the nose, again with ripe peach dominant, followed by tropical fruit and vanilla. Slightly broad, but that’s hardly a problem, this wine is not for keeping, with the acid being satisfactory for the short term. Aftertaste of vanilla, peach and citrus. Cellar 1-2 years. (2002 – 2003)
