Totally opaque black purple colour. The nose is impressive, with Rhone like characters. Aroma of liquorice and spice, followed by a hint of earth and truffle. The palate is not as complex as the nose suggests, but that will build with time. Flavours of stewed fruit, cherry, liquorice and vanilla abound. Fine dry tannin structure, followed by a long aftertaste of spice, inky black cherries plum and stewed fruit.
