A well made commercial wine. Deep crimson, mauve colour with a purple hue. Appealling nose, displaying aroma of spice, hints of liquorice, mulberry and finally a touch of earthiness appearing. On the palate the spice plum and mulberry flavours dominate over a liquorice background. Fine grained, firmish although balanced tannins with an aftertaste of mulberry and liquorice.
