2001 Seppelt Chalambar Shiraz

Another great effort from the Seppelt’s team who have got this brand back on track after a few years of neglect. Fruit for this wine was sourced from Bendigo and Grampians regions in Victoria and the wine was matured for 15 months in a combination of 60% new and 40% one-year-old French and American Oak.
Totally opaque black purple colour with deep black purple hue. Superb nose. Aroma of violets, vanilla, liquorice allsorts, spice and smoky oak. On the palate, flavours of dark chocolate, plum, spice and liquorice. Fine grained tannins. Very spicy aftertaste of black pepper, mocca, vanilla, chocolate, plum and spice. Winner of one trophy and 6 gold medals. Limited Stocks.
