2001 Rosabrook Estate Shiraz

The fruit for this wine was grown on Doug and Bill Crappsley’s Margaret River vineyard, with the wine being matured for 12 months in French and American oak casks. Opaque black crimson colour with deep crimson hue. Intense nose with top notes of earth and leather, followed by very ripe plums, spice, liquorice and spicy raspberry. The palate structure is quite fine, but the tannins firmish and dry with flavours of spice, liquorice, blackberry and vanilla evident which also carry through to the aftertaste.
