Opaque black colour with deep black crimson mauve hue. The nose is a delightful sniff, with notes of spice, plum, violets and vanilla emerging. The palate structure is tight knit, but there is plenty there for the long haul. The fine grained firmish tannin backbone is over layered with liquorice allsorts, spice and vanilla oak showing excellent depth and concentration, with just a trace of earth emerging. Fine, dry tannins persisting.
